What their answer can tell you
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE
Same question. Different next steps.
23of 18 = ?
6Did they stop at one third? They may have found one third of 18, then stopped. Check the step from one third to two thirds.
36Did they skip the division? They may have multiplied 18 by 2 without dividing by 3. Check how they find one third first.
12Can they do it again? The answer is right. Try a fresh question to check whether they can use the same method.
One answer suggests what to check; it doesn’t prove how a child was thinking. This is an illustration, not a live assessment.

Compared: EBA Guided, Atom Learning Exam prep and Bond Online Premium. This is EBA’s comparison of selected practice approaches, not an independent test of learning outcomes. Method descriptions are not exclusive-capability claims.
EBA’s generated combinations operate within supported skills and difficulty rules. “Fresh” does not promise that a question can never repeat. Answer choices provide evidence; they do not prove a child’s thinking from one response.
Atom and Bond both offer personalised practice. Their question-bank approach does not by itself establish missing learning steps or slower progress. Bond describes parent and tutor insights; this table does not assert an identical account-linking workflow.
EBA currently covers maths, non-verbal reasoning, logic and Originals. English, verbal reasoning and Papers are not yet available. This is not a comparison of complete 11+ exam coverage or full KS2 SATs preparation.
