1. What this page covers
This page explains free trials, Stripe payments, recurring plans, online cancellation, cooling-off rights, refunds and the founder-led parts of EBA Strategy. It forms part of the contract together with the Terms and Conditions and the information shown at checkout.
The checkout and order confirmation state the exact plan, child covered, trial length, first charge, renewal interval and included features.
2. Completely free trials
Every EBA trial offered to a customer costs £0. EBA does not charge a trial fee.
Stripe may collect a payment method during sign-up. Before confirmation, checkout states whether the free trial converts automatically to a paid subscription and gives the exact date and amount of the first payment.
To avoid the first payment on an auto-converting trial, cancel before the first payment date shown at checkout. Cancellation during the free trial does not create a charge.
3. Checkout and contract confirmation
Checkout is provided through Stripe. Before you place the order, it shows:
- the product and the child covered;
- the trial length and £0 trial price, where a trial applies;
- the full recurring or one-off price;
- the first payment date and billing interval;
- whether renewal is automatic;
- how to cancel;
- the main included features; and
- whether the purchase includes founder-led meetings or personally prepared documents.
EBA sends or makes available a contract confirmation that the customer can keep.
4. Recurring payments and renewal
A recurring plan renews automatically at the interval shown at checkout until cancelled. Stripe charges the payment method saved for the subscription.
If a payment fails, Stripe may retry it. EBA may restrict paid access while payment remains outstanding. EBA will not charge more frequently or at a different price from the price shown or validly notified.
5. How to cancel
To cancel:
- Sign in to the adult account.
- Open Manage subscription.
- Select the subscription and confirm cancellation.
- Keep the confirmation showing the cancellation and final access date.

If the online route cannot be used, email support@exam-bytes.co.uk from the account email address.
Cancellation stops the next renewal. Paid access normally continues to the end of the current paid period unless checkout or the law provides otherwise.
6. Progress data after cancellation
When paid access ends following cancellation, scores and progress records connected with that cancelled subscription remain available for no more than 30 days. They are then deleted or anonymised unless EBA must retain a limited record for a legal claim, complaint or safeguarding reason.
Cancelling a subscription does not itself delete the adult account. Account deletion can be requested separately by email.
7. Statutory cooling-off rights
UK consumers who buy online normally have 14 days to cancel a distance contract, subject to the rules for the type of product supplied.
- Services: if you expressly ask EBA to begin during the 14 days, EBA may lawfully charge a proportionate amount for the service supplied before cancellation.
- Digital content: where access begins immediately after the required express consent and acknowledgement, the right to cancel that digital content may be affected as the law allows.
- Mixed packages: EBA Strategy may include digital access, meetings and personally prepared documents. Each component is treated according to the applicable rules.
Checkout and the order confirmation provide the purchase-specific information. Statutory rights always take priority over this page.
8. EBA Strategy
The EBA Strategy package includes access to the digital platform and work directly with EBA’s founder, Ken. Places are limited to five students per cohort, and each student is evaluated before joining the programme.
The included number and type of meetings or documents are those stated before purchase. Booking and rescheduling details are supplied when appointments are arranged. If a meeting has already taken place or a bespoke document has already been prepared at the customer’s express request, that work may be reflected in a lawful cooling-off refund calculation.
No meeting, report or strategy document guarantees an academic result.
9. Refunds
EBA gives a refund where required by law, where checkout or a written offer expressly promises one, or where EBA cancels a paid item that has not been supplied.
Outside those cases, a payment for a billing period already started is not refundable merely because the account was unused or cancelled part-way through the period.
Refund requests should be sent to support@exam-bytes.co.uk with the account email, payment date, transaction details and reason.
10. Price changes
EBA may change a recurring price for future renewals. We will give reasonable advance notice stating the new price and when it starts. The subscriber may cancel before the new price applies.
11. Model cancellation message
You may use the online billing route without sending this message. Where email is needed, the following wording is sufficient:
Subject: Cancel my EBA subscription
I am cancelling the EBA subscription linked to [account email] and [child/profile name or nickname]. Please confirm the cancellation and the date paid access ends.
Name: [adult account holder]
Date: [date]
12. Questions and complaints
Billing questions can be sent to support@exam-bytes.co.uk. Formal complaints follow the Complaints procedure, including the seven-business-day acknowledgement target, 30-business-day substantive-response target and access to approved ADR for eligible unresolved consumer disputes.
